Ab Sculpt

We will do many different abdominal and core exercises, both with and without the use of equipment (equipment examples: fitness balls, bosu balls, medicine balls, weights). We will also stretch the back, neck, and hips, to keep us safe and flexible during our workout. This is a great way to strengthen your abs and core, which in turns protects and strengthens the back in your daily activities.

Hatha Yoga
This particular yoga practice is one of the most popular. In Hatha Yoga we work on achieving balance between body and mind, as well as freeing the more subtle spiritual elements of the mind through physical poses, breathing techniques and meditation.
In Hatha Yoga, poses are held for an extended period of time to get a deep experience of each individual pose. The word "ha" means "sun" and "tha" means moon and these two opposites create a powerful dynamic. The practice promotes relaxation, develops muscular strength and flexibility and settles and strengthens the mind.

20/20/20
Anything goes in this class! The bottom line: we do 20 minutes of three different focuses. In general I do a 20 minute cardio focus, 20 minute lower body focus, 20 minute upper body focus. At time though, I will break up the 20 minutes based on sport specific or drill style. The class changes constantly.

Jumping rope burns lots of calories, strengthens the heart, muscles, and bones, improves agility and coordination, and increases brain power. This 15 minute jump rope class consists of a good warm up and stretch in the beginning, moves into a basic jump rope routine which steadily intensifies, then glides into a cool down and some nice stretching towards the end.

Sports Conditioning
This class is sports training and combines all kinds of exercises and drills. The class is plyometrics focused, which means that we utilize the fast twitch muscle fibers, like athletes do, and the method is to go all out for a short period of time, recover, and go again...the most successful form of training. The sports focus changes regularly. The key to why this class is so successful is that the exercise constantly change from class to class so that the body continues to react.

Ai Chi brings Tai Chi principles into the water and uses all the benefits of water support to assist building core body strength, increasing flexibility, balance and stress reduction. While standing in shoulder deep water, this soothing, efficient whole body exercise progressively uses flowing movements of arms, legs and torso. Focus is on toning, especially your core, abdomen, while maintaining postural alignment and deep breathing. A tranquil experience.

Our aqua classes are a total body workout, offered by a variety of instructors allowing for a diversity of tempos and activities.
